Position as Vice-President.
The Secretariat have just received one candidate for the position as NSC President from Region Nordjylland; NSC Vice-President Ole B. Sørensen.
If Vice-President Ole B. Sørensen is elected as new NSC President, there is a need for a new Vice-President.
President and Vice-Presidents are elected by the Annual Business Meeting. To avoid a possible situation to not have one Vice-President for one year it is open up for this extra call for candidates for the position as NSC Vice-President. The election of a new Vice-President will only happen if Vice-President Ole B. Sørensen is elected as the new NSC President.

Vacant position as NSC President.
At the last Executive Committee meeting 23 February 2012, President Helgesen announced she will NOT stand for election for a new period as NSC President. NSC calls for a new President is to be elected at the Annual Business Meeting 20 June 2012 in Bremen.

For the Executive Committee meeting 20 June 2012 there are following vacant positions;
- Vice-Chair Sustainable Development group
- Adviser Marine Resources group
- Adviser Innovation & Education group.

Deadline for sending in resolutions / political statements for the Annual Business Meeting 2012 is 18 May 2012.
